CANDIDACY FOR TEXAS HOUSE DISTRICT 37

For Immediate Release

     Indian Lake, TX – Today, principled conservative and fighter for South Texas values, Indian Lake Mayor James Chambers,  announced his candidacy for the House District 37 seat in the Texas House of Representatives and released the following statement:

     “Republicans have for too long been taken for granted in South Texas,” Chambers stated. “Not a day goes by where I am not reminded that both Cameron and Willacy counties are conservative counties. The constituents of the newly drawn District 37 believe in limited government, are pro-business, and are pro-Texas family values.” Chambers added.

     The newly drawn Texas House District 37 now encompasses the entirety of Willacy County and a significant portion of Cameron County, including South Padre Island, Harlingen, and portions of Brownsville and San Benito. James believes that this new district will give a voice for the voiceless and will energize Republicans across South Texas to mobilize and finally elect the candidate of their choice.

    James is excited to hit the campaign trail and advocate for the following priorities: giving Texans real and noticeable property tax relief, defending the rights of the unborn, protecting our Second Amendment rights, upholding our right to Free Speech, and protecting religious freedom. In addition, James is committed to working with Gov. Abbott and our State's leadership to secure the Southern Border.

      James is committed to self-funding his campaign with an initial $250,000 to get his conservative message out to each voter.

      James is currently the Mayor of the Town of Indian Lake where he currently resides with his wife Selena and two daughters Kenleigh and Olivia. James serves as a board member of the Southmost Regional Water Authority and is the Chief Administrator at Chambers Protective Services, Inc.
